No coating means nothing to wear off: the glide on day one is the glide in year three.
Living with glass
Glass has almost no static friction, so the mouse starts moving with less push and micro-adjustments come easier; the stopping is yours to supply. Pair it with the dot skates in the box rather than glass skates, and wipe it down when the glide changes: skin oil is what slows a glass pad.
