Tekkusai Apex Glasspad

The Tekkusai Apex is a plateau-sculpted glass pad: the surface is etched into flat tops with valleys between, so the mouse rides on 6.5% of the glass and the skin feels none of it.

How it is made

Two etch stages cut the plateau texture across the whole sheet. A nano layer embedded in the glass lowers friction and an ion coating strengthens it, so slickness and durability come from the same surface rather than trading against each other.

Living with glass

Glass has almost no static friction, so the mouse starts moving with less push and micro-adjustments come easier; the stopping is yours to supply. Pair it with the dot skates in the box rather than glass skates, and wipe it down when the glide changes: skin oil is what slows a glass pad.
