What dots give you

A field of small circles instead of two or three broad feet: less material on the pad, less drag, a looser start. They wear faster and are less forgiving of a seam, and the sheet holds enough to re-do a base more than once.

The four compounds

UNWS make four, fastest to slowest: Magic Ice, Silver Fox, Pink Fox, Black Fox. Curved edges on all of them, so the skate lifts over a seam instead of catching.
